The COMMERCIAL COOKING NC II Qualification consists of competencies that a person must achieve to clean kitchen areas, cook hot and cold meals, and prepare, portion and plate meat/food to guests in hotels, motels, restaurants, clubs, canteens, resorts and luxury lines/cruises.

Food and Beverages Services NC II Qualification
The FOOD AND BEVERAGE SERVICES NC II Qualification consists of competencies that a person must achieve to provide food and beverage service to guests in hotels, motels, restaurants, clubs, canteens, resorts and luxury liners.
 
This Qualification is packaged from the competency map of the Tourism Sector (Hotel and Restaurant) as shown in Annex A HRM LADDERIZED

to provide students with strong theoretical and practical training founded on Christian beliefs for management and entrepreneurial roles in the hospitality and tourism industry
To develop graduates who posses traits and competencies expected of future managers, entrepreneurs, and leaders in the industry so as to assist in the development, growth, and professionalization of the hospitality and tourism industry
To develop graduates who have high moral and ethical values and who can act in a manner consistent with the high moral and ethical standards of profession
To inculcate knowledge and skills in students to help them become productive and responsible members of society
To provide experiences that will develop students' critical thinking, creativity and sound values desired in the practice of the profession
To develop entrepreneural skills among students so they will be able to help accelerate the economic development of the country.
