Advance Central College
is founded on the belief that values, work ethics and  personality development  are vital components of education in order to produce skilled and competent graduates dedicated to the service of  the computer technology-related, health care services, maritime sector and hospitality/tourism industries.
 
Requirements for Admission of New Students and Transferees:
High School Graduate:
Original of Form 138 (High School Card)
Form 137 (Permanent Record from 1st year—4th year)
Photocopy of Birth Certificate (NSO)
Certificate of Good Moral Character

College Level / College Graduate:
Transcript of Records
Honorable Dismissal
Photocopy of Birth Certificate (NSO)
Certificate of Good Moral Character

Additional Requirements for Health Care Services NC II and Caregiving NC II:
Police Clearance
Medical Certificate

For Old Students:

ENROLLMENT PROCEDURE
· Report to the Guidance Counselor for Interview
· Present Credentials · Register name through Computerized System for TESDA and Registrar’s record
· Have picture taken
· Fill-up Registration Form (RF) for schedule of classes
· Pay to the Cashier
· Present the RF to the Registrar for assessment, recording of fees and stamping.
· Get student’s copy of the RF.
· Report to the Librarian for Library Card
· On the first day of classes present RF to the Subject Instructors for the class cards.

CLASSIFICATION OF STUDENTS
Regular Student
A student who is registered for normal academic credits and carries the subjects called for in a given semester by the curriculum.

Irregular Student
A student who is registered for normal credits but does not carry the subjects for a full load called for in a given semester by the curriculum for which one is registered.

ACADEMIC REGULATIONS
No undergraduate student shall be allowed to take more units on the load for the semester; however, a graduating student with good grades may be permitted to carry a heavier load.The Registrar is empowered to limit the load of students who are employed whether full or part time.

ACCREDITATION
Units earned in any recognized private, state college, or government institution will be duly accredited provided:
· That the subject for whom the credits are claimed conform to the curriculum as evaluated by the Registrar.
· That the rule on sequence is observed.
· That the descriptive title is the same.

TRANSFER OF STUDENT
A transfer student may be admitted provided that: he/she has good grades, he/she has complied with all requirements for admission; and the course he/she seeks admission has not yet been filled up as set by the Registrar.

WITHDRAWAL OF ENROLLMENT CHANGING/DROPPING OF SUBJECTS LATE EXAMINATION
· A student with the consent of his/her Instructor and Adviser may drop a subject by filling in a prescribed form.
· If the dropping takes place after three fourths of the hours prescribed for the course has lapsed, the faculty member concerned shall be requested to state on the form whether or not the student shall be given a grade of 5.0 for the subject on the basis of his class standing.
· Any student who drops a course/subject without the approval of his/her adviser shall have his/her registration privileges curtailed or entirely withdrawn.
· A fee of P300.00 per subject will be charged for dropping and changing of subjects except for justifiable reasons.
· A fee of P40.00 will be charged per subject for late examination.

HONORABLE DISMISSAL
· A student of good standing who desires to severe his/her connection with ACC shall request for Honorable Dismissal from the Registrar.
· Honorable Dismissal is voluntary withdrawal from ACC with the consent of the Registrar or his/her representative. Clearance should be accomplished before an Honorable Dismissal is issued.
· A student who leaves ACC for reason of suspension, dropping or expulsion due to disciplinary action rendered against him/her may not be given an Honorable Dismissal.

SCHOLASTIC DELINQUENCY
The faculty shall approve suitable and effective provisions governing undergraduate delinquent student, subject to the following minimum standards:
Warning: any student, who obtains final grade below 3.0 in 25% to 49% of the total number of academic units he/she is registered for the semester, shall be warned by the Registrar to improve his work.
Probation: any student who obtains final grades below 3.0 in 50% to 75% of the total number of the academic units at the end of the semester shall be placed on probation for the succeeding semester and his load shall be limited to the extent to be determined by the Registrar; provided that this does not apply to students who received final grades in the succeeding semester.
Dismissal: any student who obtains final grades below 3.0 in at least 76% of his final grades shall be dropped from the rolls; provided that this does not apply to students who received final grades in less than nine academic units.
Any student dropped from one course shall not be admitted in another course of the college, unless in the opinion of the Registrar, his natural aptitude and interest may qualify him in another field of study in which case he may be allowed to enroll in the proper course.
Permanent Disqualification: any student who, at the end of the semester or term obtains final grades below 3.0 in all of
  the academic units shall be permanently disbarred from re-admission to any course; provided that this does not apply to students who received final grades in less than twelve academic units.

CONDUCT AND DISCIPLINE
A grade of INC. is not to be included in the computation. When it is replaced by a final grade, the latter is to be included in the grades during the semester when the removal is made. Required subjects in which a student has failed shall take precedence in his/her succeeding enrollment.

For the purpose of keeping order in the classes, the instructor is empowered to discipline and exclude a student from his/her class for ungentlemanly conduct and immediately thereafter make a report of such action to the Guidance Counselor.

Any form of cheating or dishonesty shall be punishable, the penalty to be determined by the Guidance Counselor according to the circumstances of the case.

No student shall carry in the ACC premises any deadly weapon or dangerous weapon such as firearm, knife with blade longer than 2 ½ inches unless specifically required in his subject for a specific purpose.

No play, skit., farce or comedy or any similar act shall be staged or presented by the students in or outside of ACC without previous authorization and approval of the President or her representative, whose duty it shall be to supervise all activities of this nature.

Smoking, drunkenness, fighting, heated discussions, shouting, unnecessary noise, indecent and malicious conversations and loud laughte, vandalism and display of intimate, immoral, emotional acts shall not be allowed in the offices, classrooms, laboratories, library, hallway or corridor and elsewhere within the college premises.

Every student shall observe proper decorum or behavior and “silence” within the college premises at all times.

All students must wear their ACC IDs and proper uniforms within the school premises at all times except during washday as scheduled.

Students are not allowed to wear sleeveless attire, short-shorts and micro-mini skirts.
· Tattered or patched pants with holes are not allowed.
· Slippers are not allowed inside the school premises.
· Male students are not allowed to wear earrings inside the school premises and should maintain regular short haircut.

GRADING SYSTEM
The following grading system is adopted in the College:
1.0 (95 and above) - Excellent
1.1 - 1.5 (90 - 94) - Superior
1.6 - 2.0 (85 - 89) - Very Good
2.1 - 2.5 (84 - 80) - Good
2.6 - 3.0 (75 - 79) - Fair or Passing
3.1 - 4.0 (65 – 74) - Conditional Failure

ATTENDANCE
Punctuality and regularity of attendance is required of all students.
· A student who has been absent for three consecutive meetings should be reported by the adviser concerned to the Guidance Counselor stating the reason for the absence.
· The guidance office shall call the student or immediately notify his parents.
· When the number of hour lost by absence reaches 20% of the hours for recitation, lecture, laboratory or any other scheduled work in one subject, a student shall be given a grade of 5.0 except, if the faculty member prescribes longer attendance requirements to meet his special needs.
· Time lost due to late enrollment shall be considered absence.
